Mr. Ross was admitted on the 19th September at 8:30 p.m. He was brought in from Tai Po and appeared to have stood the journey well. He was slightly jaundiced, the spleen and liver were enlarged, and examination of the blood showed a mixed malarial infection. The temperature was 99.6°. The next day the temperature fell in the morning to 98°, but rose at night to 101°. Thereafter the temperature varied daily, reaching 100.4° on one day, the 23rd, the highest it has touched.
His condition has improved. The enlargement of the liver and spleen has subsided, the jaundice has disappeared, but he still has a slight daily rise of temperature above the normal.
